Today, I consumed 1,360 calories. The breakdown:

Lunch: 170 calories
  • toasted turkey sandwich (half of one)
Dinner: 380 calories
  • chicken with rice
Snacks: 810 calories
  • 510: shortbread cookies (I ate three of these three separate times throughout the day)
  • 130: glass of 2% milk
  • 170: bagel bread with peanut butter

December 12th, 2008

Today, I consumed around 1,240 calories. The breakdown:

Breakfast: 380 calories
  • 130: glass of 2% milk
  • 250: toast with peanut butter
Lunch: 260 calories
  • cheese and crackers
Dinner: 430 calories
  • 300: pancakes with scrambled eggs
  • 130: glass of 2% milk
Snacks: 170
  • shortbread cookie

Lunch: 270 calories

Dinner: 350 calories
  • pancakes with maple syrup
Snacks: 470 calories

  • 250: sundried tomato and basil wheat crisps

December 10th, 2008

Today, I consumed a total of 1,310 calories. The breakdown:

Lunch: 300 calories
  • homemade meat and cheese manicotti
Dinner: 300 calories
  • homemade french fries (I just estimated as I had a larger plate but they were homemade)
Snacks: 710 calories (all healthy except the ice cream)
  • 110: pineapple fruit cup
  • 130: danone activia vanilla yogurt
  • 130: danone activia vanilla yogurt with strawberry
  • 340: chocolate cookie dough ice cream

Once again, I felt sluggish, so didn't exercise, so I burned the usual 2,090 calories from just living.

Today, I consumed a total of around 1,470 calories. The breakdown:

Lunch: 250 calories
  • meat and cheese manicotti (I made this from scratch and used crepes instead of manicotti shells, with lean ground beef and ricotta cheese; it was very good, very filling, and low in calories, so I just estimated what the calories were)
Dinner: 400 calories
  • chicken and rice (again, I estimated as I didn't eat all that much so it was probably around 300-400 calories)
Snacks: 820 calories
  • 110: pineapple fruit cup
  • 480: brownies (my mom made these today and I ate two (at two different times); the packaged said it made 12, but she cut them into big sizes, so it made 6 (so, I just doubled the calories)
  • 130: danone activia vanilla yogurt
  • 100: ritz snack pack

I burned about 2,090 calories, includes just being alive, as I didn't exercise yet again. I felt sluggish and have had cramps all day, so didn't really feel like doing much of anything, lol :)

Today, I consumed a total of around 1,330 calories. The breakdown:

Lunch: 440 calories
  • 350: haddock with rice (I had some leftover from yesterday)
  • 90: yellow soup
Dinner: 400 calories (I think it was around this)
  • roast beef with mashed potatoes and corn
Snacks: 490 calories
  • 110: pineapple fruit cup
  • 170: chocolately delight cereal
  • 60: homemade shortbread cookies (I made these today and had a couple as they were very small and low-fat)
  • 150: honey mustard pringles

I burned about 2,090 calories, includes just being alive, as I didn't exercise at all today since I felt sluggish from starting my period.

Today, I consumed a total of 1,400 calories. The breakdown:

Lunch: 90 calories
  • yellow soup
Dinner: 350 calories
  • haddock with rice
Snacks: 960 calories (told you I consume a lot of calories through snacking)
  • 200: ritz snack packs (I ate two)
  • 130: danone activia vanilla yogurt
  • 100: french fries (I had a small plate)
  • 110: pineapple fruit cup
  • 100: pringles light
  • 170: chocolatey delight cereal
  • 150: toast with peanut butter

Since I felt sluggish today and still a little under the weather, I didn't do any exercising today, but burned 2,090 calories (includes just being alive).

Today, I consumed a total of 1,780 calories (a whooping amount for me). The breakdown:

Breakfast: 170 calories
  • chocolatey delight cereal
Lunch: 390 calories
  • 90: yellow soup
  • 300: shrimp and feta pizza (I overestimated before on the calories per slice, as one has 150)
Dinner: 300 calories
  • 300: shrimp and feta pizza (the last of my pizza)
Snacks: 920 calories (a huge amount, but includes dessert)
  • 350: applesauce streusal cake (the cake got ate up rather quickly)
  • 130: danone activia vanilla yogurt (so tasty)
  • 160: toast with peanut butter
  • 110: peach fruit cup
  • 170: chocolately delight cereal (yes, I ate this again today, lol :))

As for exercise, I worked in a bit, even though I was still feeling a bit sick... burned around 2,453 calories (includes just being alive)...
  • stomach crunches (ended up doing about 100)
  • running in place (for about 5 minutes)
  • stationary bike (for 12 minutes; 2.15 miles or so, burned 200)

December 5th, 2008

Today, I consumed a total of 1, 280 calories. The breakdown:

Breakfast: once again, I missed out as I had to go to the doctor's and just didn't feel hungry

Lunch: 120 calories
  • chicken pieces (I think I overestimated this as I really didn't eat a lot of chicken and even the stuff I took consisted of a lot of bones)
Dinner: 440 calories (ate at two separate times)
  • 350: shrimp and feta pizza (I made this from scratch from my new recipe book and it was really good; it makes 8 servings/slices, but I cut it into 4 big slices and ate one (which was really like two servings)
  • 90: yellow soup (the soup is called this, but it is made from carrots, squash, and corn)
Snacks: 720 calories (my snacks are always the highest, lol)
  • 370: applesauce streusal cake (again, this is completely made from scratch (got it from the same recipe book as the pizza) and was for dessert (I added a little whipped topping to it this time)
  • 350: shrimp and feta pizza (I was hungry later in the night, so I had another big piece of pizza since it was really good)

As for exercise, I was busy most of the day, like going to the doctor's and such, and I had hit my head pretty badly in the afternoon, so felt sick for the rest of the day, but burned about 2,150 calories (includes just being alive)...
  • walking (I walked for a little bit during the day)

Since it is Friday, I am including my measurements...
  • weight: 210 lbs.
  • arms: 14
  • bust: 40
  • waist: 37
  • hips: 48
  • thighs: 27
So, I gained like 1 lb. but that is due to not exercising a ton and whatnot. I also did lose some inches (waist, hips, and thighs), which is always a good thing.

Breakfast: 170 calories
  • chocolatey delight cereal (once again, lol)
Lunch: 220 calories
  • bean and bacon soup (very tasty)
Dinner: 350 calories
  • egg salad pita with sweet mashed potatoes
Snacks: 720 calories
  • 350: applesauce streusel cake (I made this from scratch after finding it in my new low-fat, healthy cookbook and it was very good)
  • 250: pita with peanut butter
  • 120: sunny delight (just a small bottle and I was thirsty, so figured why not)

As for exercise, again, not really much, but I burned 2,150 calories (includes just being alive)...
  • walking (took a brief little walk to the mailbox to return some DVDs (I use Zip.ca a Canadian-like Netflix)

Breakfast: again, woke up late so didn't have anything

Lunch: 265 calories
  • 180: chicken pita
  • 85: apple slices drizzled with honey
Dinner: 420 calories
  • Mini pepperoni pizzas (they were small, so I cooked two of them)
Snacks: 590 calories
  • 200: cookie dough ice cream (technically dessert and I rarely eat ice cream)
  • 170: chocolately delight cereal (see, once again, ate this stuff, lol :))
  • 220: pita with peanut butter (ate at two separate times; half a pita each time)

As for exercise, again, I didn't really feel like working out much, but burned 2,180 calories (includes just being alive)...
  • running (used the Wii Fit; about 3 minutes)
  • running (later in the day; about 5 minutes)

Today, I consumed a total of 1,400 calories. The breakdown:

Breakfast: 170 calories
  • Chocolatey Delight Cereal (I told you I love this stuff)
Lunch: 350 calories
  • 230: Roast beef and cheddar sandwich (I ate half of one)
  • 120: Pringles light (which are a pack of 100 calories, along with a few honey mustard Pringles)
Dinner: 780 calories (again, I ate earlier on (around 3 PM) and then ate later (around 7 PM), so that is why my dinner is so high)
  • 380: Salmon pitas (I found a recipe in a book I bought and tried this out)
  • 400: Chicken pitas
Snacks: 100 calories
  • Mini fudge Stripes Cookies (the pack is 100 calories)

As for exercise, I didn't really feel like doing much, but burned 2, 310 calories (again, including just being alive)...
  • ab crunches (we have a machine that works the whole body that I used for about 10 minutes, just to try it out and warm up my body)
  • boxing (I used the Wii Fit and did this for 8 minutes)
  • running (again, used the Wii Fit; about 3 minutes)
  • yoga (used the Wii Fit and did some yoga poses for a few minutes)

This is my first official weight log...

Today, I consumed a total of 1,260 calories. The breakdown:

Breakfast:  I wake up late most of the time, so I actually missed today

Lunch: 200 calories
  • ham and swiss sandwich (half of one I made yesterday)
Dinner: 660 calories (technically, I ate two separate meals, as I ate these hours apart)
  • 270: chicken with rice (I pretty much at a small amount and then threw the rest away; the reason it was so high is because it was from a fast food joint, which I rarely eat and was leftover from a few days ago; the rice I made myself)
  • 390: tomato soup and grilled cheese sandwich (the soup was around 150 calories, as I used whole milk and the sandwich took up the rest, as I didn't use butter)
Snacks: 400 calories
  • 170: Chocolatey Delight Cereal (the box says with whole milk it is 170 calories, so I just follow that; this stuff is so good and I eat it pretty much whatever time of the day I feel like it, whether it be right in the morning for breakfast or late at night)
  • 80: Cinnamon apple tea (yes, tea is 0 calories, but I hate hot water, so I use hot whole milk instead and let it cool down)
  • 150: apple slices with peanut butter (very tasty and good for you too)



I have slacked on exercising for the last few days, but did a little bit today... Total burned was around 2,270 calories (that includes just being alive)...
  • jogging in place (I looked online and it said I burned about 165 calories in 13 minutes, but it could have been more)
  • dancing (I was doing my own high impact freestyle dancing for about 8 minutes or so)
  • butt crunches (I have been doing these lately and they seem to help)
  • hula hooping (I was using my Wii Fit which has this activity; I did almost 1000 spins in about 5 minutes)
  • running stairs (I just quickly ran the 12 stairs in our house for a quick boost of energy)


Since it is Monday, I figured I would include my measurements since this is my first official post...
  • weight: 209 lbs. (this has been up a little and down a little recently)
  • arms: 14
  • bust: 40 (the only part I want to remain close to this, lol)
  • waist: 38
  • hips: 49 (my hips are huge)
  • thighs: 29

Introduction

Hello everyone :)
My name is Mary, I am 23, and am from Canada.

The reason for starting my weight loss is because I finally had enough with be overweight. Some people that I have come across through YouTube also have blogs with their progress and diets, so I figured I would create one too that I will try and update every day with my diet and exercise, along with the YouTube videos I make (every Friday).

I have been on my "diet" since September 1st, 2008, but officially kicked it into gear around late September/early October.

Every Friday, along with my video posts, I will also include my measurements, so you can see where I have lost or (hopefully not) gained.
